Put your car keys beside your bed at night. If you hear a noise outsideyour home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panicbutton for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continueto sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies. This tip camefrom a neighborhood watch coordinator. Next time you come home for the night and you start to put your keys away, think of this: It's a security alarm system that you probably already have and requires no installation. Test it.

It will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honkinguntil your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on thekey fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or garage. If your caralarm goes off when someone is trying to break in your house, odds are the burglar or rapist won't stick around...after a few seconds all the neighbors will be looking out their windows to see who is out there and sure enough the criminal won't want that. And remember to carry your keys while walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there.....This is something that should really be shared with everyone. Maybe it could save a life or a sexual abuse crime.

Would also be useful for any emergency, such as a heart attack, where you can't reach a phone. Elderly parents can carry their car keys with him in case they falloutside when one is around. Pass it on.

Thought you all might like to see this and here is a personal story to go with it:

A few months back my brother walked up to an older gentle man in the grocery store who had on a hat (or something I don't remember what) resembling that he had served in a war....I think it was WWII. Anyway, my brother always walks up to military personnel that he sees and thanks them for their service to our country. I've been with him when he does this and he never seems embarrassed or like it is an awkward situation. He just walks up offers a handshake and says thank you for your service. Well, when he approached his older gentleman the Veteran said "you know, its been 50 years or so since I was in the service and in all of that time not once has anyone ever thanked me."

I don't really remember the rest of the story but that is the most important part and I just thought I would share it with you given this attachment.

So take a few minutes and watch this clip then send it on.
